are you kidding me? you cannot expect to win games when you cannot convert on 3rd down. football 101. do we even practice 3rd down situations? sure doesn't look like it on game days June.

There are multiple reasons our offense is so pathetic this year. The biggest is our inability to convert 3rd downs. We simply don't have enough consistency in our offensive play to put three successful plays together. we either have a few big plays on 1st or 2nd down or we punt. We need to get that 3rd down conversion number around 50%. Not a great number but that would put huge pressure on opponent's defenses if we could.

i am watching the replay on CBSCS (sober this time!) and keep asking myself if we are any better with JJ...we have no qb depth, our starting qb who we have invested 2 years in has marginal D1 talent at best, and we have not even sniffed any blue chip qb recruits/juco transfers.

funny thing is that it is our defense that has gotten the 3 wins.

i like shwanbrey and our O line and that is about it. our wrs drop too many balls and cannot hold onto the ball when they have it. i do not see any hope on the horizon either, especially when we have no qb depth.
