Re: Let the "Who should be the QB of the future debate begin."It has been stated many times that Padron has taken over the back-up position in practice.
Re: Let the "Who should be the QB of the future debate begin."the QB of the future is the kid who can lead the team downfield and into the end zone. I'll take the coach's kid from Rockwall.

Hey June, newsflash: Your QB may get injured. Teach your backups the plays!

This is a ridiculous statement. You might as well elect a president simply because his father was one as well. Ha ha. I mock your weak democratic system. Far East Conference

Ask the head coach that question at Monday's luncheon. Then you'll know.
Re: Let the "Who should be the QB of the future debate begin."As I saw Padron and Smith running for their lives yesterday, I thought to myself, isn't that what Justin Willis would have done, but better. Up to now, I thought I understood JJ's benching of JW and refusal to use him last year, now I am not sure. As far as BLM, I assume that its his left shoulder not his throwing shoulder that's hurt. Still, once separation occurs, he's got a big bullseye on that shoulder until it heals. I am not sure that I would play him next week against Tulsa unless he was close to 100%.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

At least Padron should be a bit more prepared this week. Go Ponies!!

An interesting question for further debate. My take on it is that if you have an established team, you redshirt. If you have an up-and-coming team, you burn in. Logic behind that is it's more important to win now. If Kaiser is the second coming of Joe Namath like some people seem to think he is, he'll be starting in 2-3 years anyway. And by improving your team, there may be an even better one in the wings after Kaiser. Plus I like the idea of getting another solid option ready beside Bo. If BLM gets cold and starts throwing pix again, wouldn't it be lovely to have a proven backup with some experience to replace him? With the Mustangs in their current situation, the mantra must be "win now". "It's a couple hundred million dollars. I'm not losing sleep over it." -- David Miller
