The irony would be if by some twist of fate we were to win out (which I think is possible), and did it with Padron. And if Houston were to trip up somewhere, we would win the West over Houston due to them injuring our QB.

This is an irony scenario, not a prediction. Right now I am just wanting to beat Rice.

I fully believe JJ when he says that Padron was prepped to play in the Houston game regarldess of the performance of BLM. If you look at last year, BLM started to get the offense around the 7th game. In JJ's mind, Padron at this point was ready to compete, he was just waiting for the blowout to happen to play him. I think regardless of the injury, we would have seen Padron challenge BLM for a starting job at the end of this season.

There is a reason Padron has been taking so many snaps with the first team. Everyone on here takes JJ's praise of BLM as him being stubborn and sticking with his guy. In reality, he was giving the only player capable of running the offence confidence until someone else was ready to challenge.
