Why do I have "Mustang ALL-ACCESS"

Postby ddderrius » Mon Nov 02, 2009 11:34 pm

It was a discussion about the no discussion of the luncheons on Monday. I've paid for "All Access" for 3 years now and maybe have seen one basketball game on it. Never can he a clear picture on Football games when televised. No post game interviews. I've always had rivals for some years now I pay for Ponypride, ponystampede and All Access and CSTV. I would think we could at least hear a little about the excitement going on after the games. Some of what goes on at the luncheon minus the break down of plays. I guess I should cancel All Access for sure.

Being out of state, I have been a proponent of All Access in order to see games I cannot attend. Yes, the picture is bad, but in the 1980s I could not even get a radio broadcast so it is all relative. However, now with Channelsurfing.net All Access is becoming less necessary. It is good for archived games so if you want to see you son's past heroic efforts, it is worthwhile. But for news and up to date gossip, ponyfans, ponypride, and ponystampede are all you need.

So they have past archived games? They have the new setup on "All Access" how do you get to pass games?

I will have to look when I get home. It may have changed. In the past they had a list of games archived. They do have a new format so I will check this evening and respond back.

Because, even if you live in AZ, SD, Wash. NY, SC, and anywhere this feeds to, you get to watch SMU football begin to attain national prominence again.

Used to be ABC, NBC, CBS would carry an SMU game nationally once in a while. Could occasionally pick up a fading radio game. Now everyone can watch nearly every game.

The feed is usually bad, The commentators are usually ahead or behind the play, but it is way better than nothing.

It does not include road games however (Marshall). I checked the M site and they are streaming our game with them.

You have to check the scroll. The little TV. A couple of games that have not been listed do play on all access. Don't just go to All Access, go to the scroll, then click the little TV.

I like it. Twice this year the only way I was able to watch the game was on all access.

Maybe next year we won't need it. We might be on ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX. Kinda like UT, USC, FLA. Used to be that way. So JJ & KP, make it happen.

I am also the victim of All Access which barely gives me a visible picture, away game announcers, little commentary, hopelessly delayed game tracker plus poor or inappropriate commercials during every break in action. Despite all these issues it is my only means of watching a game and following the Ponies. Luckily this year I was able to see the WSU game in person and am flying in for the Rice and UTEP games. This will be the most games I have been able to see in person since 1970. The bottom line is that the program has been so poor that we probably did not even deserve All Access; however, it is a new era with JJ and some wins and we should be in much greater demand on the major networks in the future. We simply need to earn our share of the spotlight.

Bell family:

I played around with the All Access for a few minutes and found several archived events back to the 2006 Tulane game. I am not quite sure how it works as I found what I did just by hit and miss in the Events category. You can enter a specific date if you wish and if the game is archived it should come up. I know from past experience that you can call or email the customer service folks and they will help you with any problem. For having a product that is not very good, I have found that they do have good customer service assistance.

Thank you MRydel for all you help with this.

Another point I was also trying to make is that on several other All Access at other school they have the post game shows on there and things of that sort.

Derrius is doing fine missing travelling with the team a bit. But he is doing fine and will be up and running again next year. Its hard for him just looking he's never done that since starting football at age 6. But I told him everything happens for a reason. Maybe he needed this time to grow and gain weight, something I have no problem doing. LOL He is like his dad. Until I read the article about him being one of the lightest guys on the team I thought he was fine. He always tells me the scale to him is like it is to me dreadful, but he wants it to show he gained weight.
But he now sees what being a fan is. Thanks for asking.
