I am a runner. Last year as I was arriving at the campus for homecoming I noticed there was a 5K race. Because I had limited information regarding this race I was unprepared I did not enroll in the run. This year I sent an e-mail to the Theta 5K organizer with some suggestions. One suggestion was to post/advertise the 5K on specific web sites that I know are frequented by runners. They posted at none of them. My point is I view it as a token effort by some coed to be on a committee with limited effort to draw runners.
Here are a few of the sites I told her about.
1)
http://www.runningintheusa.com/Race/List.aspx?State=TX2)
http://www.runnersworld.com/cda/racefin ... e%20Finder3)
http://www.runontexas.com/calendar/Calendar.htmYou are thoughtful to have posted this information. You can see that the Thetas did not.
If this was run properly, they could have expected a much better turn out.
