Re: Jeff ReineBold UTEP Day 2Quite a few returners on D as well. Young team.
We've never lost the tailgate.
Re: Jeff ReineBold UTEP Day 2
And to add to that, 36 of the 44 on the current two deep will be back next year, with 21 of them being JJ's signees. I know that we've been perpetually young due to various factors, but this is the first time I've felt confident that we'll be an "old" team two years from now. At the same time, we've got a few things in the pipeline (so far we've still got redshirts on most of our OL's from this class), that should help lead to improvements along the way. -CoS
Re: Jeff ReineBold UTEP Day 2
Agreed. I have stated all year that we are set at LB and DB's for the next 3 to 4 years. Lot of STRONG freshmen being redshirted. Add in the true freshmen that are playing and it really looks solid. WE HAVE to get deep on both sides of the ball on the line. It is a must. We need to be able to run the ball some, particularly in critical situations. And on defense, we don't need the safeties to be leading the team in tackles.
