Re: Now the media finds fault with the gameday experience at SMUDid this knucklehead go to the SMU-UofH game? I did. Had to walk a mile from parking to get into that prison yard - meets high school stadium. Or maybe he longs for Rice's high school stadium? We have the nicest facilities of any C-USA team and the parking was not a problem for most people this past weekend. SMU is certainly nicer than anything that Houston has.
I'm the guy blocking your view on 3rd down and making your ears hurt.
Re: Now the media finds fault with the gameday experience at SMUI look forward to the day that S.M.U. really has parking problems because of SELLOUT crowds at Ford Stadium on gameday!
Re: Now the media finds fault with the gameday experience at SMUWhile I never have problems parking I could see when you pull into campus it is not really clear where to go. I have had friends tell me that is one reason for not going (lame but true). Not sure how we mark the streets better but some signs on 75, Mockingbird, Airline and Hillcrest directing traffic to the public lot options would not hurt.
GO Ponies!!!!
Re: Now the media finds fault with the gameday experience at SMUI sympathiize with this guy, he is use to home games at Rice where you have 3,0000 to 4,000 people attend in a stadium that is designed for 70K. Well, of course parking is easier there. When SMU played at the Cotton Bowl back in the 90's it was easy to get in and out of there, too.
This sounds like the little brat who complains about another kid because the other kids toys are better than his. PONY UP!!!! PICK THE MINERS!!!! GO MUSTANGS!
Re: Now the media finds fault with the gameday experience at SMUYou can pick your miners and you can pick your nose, but you can't pick your miner's nose.
I'd kill for a Nobel Peace Prize.

Beat whoever it is we are playing!! @PonyGrad
Re: Now the media finds fault with the gameday experience at SMUIt's easy to find parking at Rice, because it's cheaper for them to buy up the real estate around their campus because it's in a crappy part of town! It's called University Park, dude, and the real estate around there is a bit pricey.
Oh, and we also have less parking because we are putting in a little library for George Bush, You might have heard of him.
Re: Now the media finds fault with the gameday experience at SMUWe didn't lose any parking to the Library. We gave up some land (which, arguably, could've been used for parking).

Re: Now the media finds fault with the gameday experience at SMU
Rice is in a 'crappy part of town'? Are you sure you're not thinking of UofH? The neighborhood around Rice is actually on par with University Park (Dallas).
Re: Now the media finds fault with the gameday experience at SMU
Exactly. WestU is an awesome neighborhood. I have several friends who live there. I was actually there during the game last weekend. Rice is in a great section of town. If you consider it to be acrappy part of town, then HP would probably just be "ok" in your opinion. UP is a great comparison. Derail the Frogs!
Re: Now the media finds fault with the gameday experience at SMU
That explains it. Those in the media are so used to having everything given to them with minimal effort required on their part, a 300 - 400 yard walk to/from their car is unfathomable!
