When we have brought our dog to our tailgate in the past, we most definitely were attending the game. Of course we set up early in the a.m. even for night games, live within 20 minutes of campus, and take him home mid-afternoon after probably 4 hours of tailgating already under our belts.

Guy friends who blvd. with us have brought dogs, then left to take them home and pick up wife to bring back and attend game. Works well for them. Gets the dog out of the house and away from the wife + attracts more women to our spot.
