i thought the kid looked great today. Put several nice passes over the middle in spots only the good guys could catch em. Even the interceptions were phenomenal catches by the dbacks and not bad or ill advised throws. Extremely solid game by a freshman.

He shook off his mistakes and kept his head in the game. I am really enjoying watching him play.

The pick in the first half was poorly thrown -- over Darius Johnson's head. But the DB did make a nice play on it. There was another poorly thrown ball that was tipped at the line and was fortunate it was not picked.

But as I said last week, you can see where the relationship between Padron and his receivers is far better than what it was like with Mitchell. They are playing for him.

it was overthrown no doubt, but it was not a miss that would usually get picked from that angle to the sideline. nor was he perfect by any stetch but he was pretty dang solid and calm back there.
