After being generally porous for the last several years, the Mustangs are in the middle of the C-USA pack in total defense and lead the league in pass-defense-efficiency rating. The latter stat is bolstered by 16 interceptions, a league high and part of a league-best 26 takeaways.
"They're finding ways to win games," said Marshall coach Mark Snyder. "We've got to hold onto the ball, and we've got to match their special teams."
