Re: Audio links for satellite radio interviews with June JonesThanks.
Looks like more night games at home.
Re: Audio links for satellite radio interviews with June JonesI liked a lot of what he said...BUT he did say that bringing in the two geldings was part of "changing the culture and traditions"
Re: Audio links for satellite radio interviews with June JonesWow, you are right about part 2 - the man definitely thinks big!
Re: Audio links for satellite radio interviews with June Jones
I believe he described them as two WILD mustangs...that, by the way, have been taught to kneel/bow...how impressive. ![]() There was nothing...is nothing wrong with the brand. It was the crappy product being presented to the public for 20 years plus. The only re-branding we needed was to be winners, not losers. The mascot was not and is not the problem. If TCU can do what they have done with a guy running around in a squirrely "horned frog" costume as their mascot...please...it's the players and their attitude not the mascot. SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
