today may be the most important game we've played since the death penalty, but I agree that win or lose today, next week's game will likely be even bigger.

Thanks again to all those helping to boost attendance for Tulane. Gotta believe that will mean a lot to the team

IMHO TCU in '97 was the most important game. Win it and we go to a bowl. That could have been a changing moment. Win to day and we have another game to win for a championship. Lose today and we have Tulane to gain a for sure bowl. This is a must win but not the impact game that the TCU game was.

The next gib game was the 2006 Rice game. Once again, win and we go to a bowl. And both the TCU and Rice game could have changed our future.

that '97 loss in Ft Worth set the Frogs up for their own turning point and they haven't looked back.

The heading is overdone but it did get a lot of responses, so it did it's job....this one is a big one and look forward to it as both teams are beat up and playing for different reasons but if we happen to come on on the losing end, the game next week would one of the biggest as it would insure we go to a bowl game for the first time. Lets just win this one today! I think when the defense bowed up last week on the last drive against UTEP that it really served to galvanize this team's defense and that total toughness will carry over this week.

Next week is a bigger game. It will determine whether they play in the championship or a guaranteed bowl game.

If you really want to look at big games, look at Rice 2006. Had we won, Bennett most likely would have been extended and who knows where we would be today, but I doubt we would have the future that we anticipate from here on out.
