For those who log onto the Hawaii scout site, remember this, WarbOw is also a Ponyfans poster who made a lot of "negative" statements regarding Jones coaching abilities and persona, he is in good company with bagice and mr. pony. Jones will lead SMU to greater heights in fb, he will also change the culture of fb at the campus by re-branding it and involving the students and community. He changed the uniforms, brought in "real mustangs", he and Orsini came up with new ideas to bring in fans-SFA, Navy and Tulane games, drop players, suspended players, played people he felt would fit his system, and he is not stubborn, he has a driven vision he is pursuing and he will succeed.

Doesn't really matter what they think. The reality is that we will likely be in the Hawaii bowl and the UH will be sitting at home watching. Guess that would make us better since we will have the invite.

According to June most all of the teams we have played are better than us. So I’m sure UH is too at this point. The only team he said we really beat all year was Washington State and we lost- go figure.

I am sure that JJ's comments are meant for 'posturing' and motivation. Fact is that the best team is the winner on any given day. However, that is not important. JJ can say we are by far the worst team and if we win the championship that is all that matters.

yes and ill say it again...

Hawaii has better talent and athleticism on the team, but the coaches are subpar and basically screw games up thus taking the players out of the equation...

SMU has lesser talent but June Jones gets them to play to the best of their ability, and the staff lets gives the players the best shot at pulling out a win...

you'll also notice just how explosive a JJ led offense can be when he gets the players that FIT his system...
