"The Girls" and the National Anthem

When the National Anthem is played, everyone in the stadium faces, quite properly, the American flag...all except those our pom pom girls who stand on the west side and face AWAY FROM THE FLAG! Even the cheerleaders on the east side know enough to face the flag in the South End Zone! Someone give those girls a clue! Smiling at the crowd with their backs to the flag ain't the way!

I noticed that. It was glaringly obvious. I meant to look after the anthem and see if there was a flag on top of the press box they may have been looking towards.
