I hope Craig brings his daughter Jessica!
Girls LOVE hearing about things like my car and my season tickets. I usually try to work in what street my parents live on, just so they know where I'm coming from. That's a deal closer. Always be closing!

In addition to the on-the-field accomplishments, a big THANK YOU to ED for his work in bringing JJ to SMU.

Guys the bigger point is Steve Orsini connected to ED in LA earlier that year and went and played golf with him to connect with our SMU past greats. ED didn't really believe that SMU was really committed to bringing back a real competive football program ( as we all didn't either) until Orsini went out there and convinced him that he would do his best to make it happen. ED would NEVER have had JJ even consider SMU until ED was convinced that we had folks here that would commit to make it all happen. ED texted Orsini asking if he would be interested in talking to JJ after JJ asked about the SMU job with ED. True story.

Please don't forget to give props to Orsini as this all would never have happened if he hadn't reached out to Eric. Eric was not happy with SMU for quite some time until Orsini got here.

Props to both Orsini and Jones for bringing our best teams "out of the closet". We have all but denied we had great teams in eighties, made up of great players and individuals. Including Myer and other coaches in Jones charity dinner was probably the first time in over twenty years anyone acknowledged they were even coaches at SMU. Long past due to burn the dp and move forward and welcome everyone that we used to cheer for. It wasn't the NCAA that caused this 20 years in the desert, but ourselves...

Agreed as they were all good people that got caught up in what was rampant at the time.
