Band Discussion

CalallenStang has worded it very nicely on the plight of the band for the past umpteen years. Unfortunately, the only real current solution is to give to the Diamond M Club and to give to the donation bucket for the spirit squad going to the islands. A longer term solution is to somehow integrate the band into a part of the university with funding, but this is an ongoing battle with no clear fit.

I am appreciative once again of those, who are not on the inside, that finally "get it" when it comes to the band, versus all those who have written them off as simply showing up for games and practicing a little here and there. There is so much more that goes into being the Hub of SMU Spirit, and CalallenStang has done an admirable job of expressing what it takes to be just that.
