They were definitely thugs. Bunch of losers. by the way, their enrollment is 15,000.

Grad, UG, or combined?

I think the biggest thing Miami had going for it as far as recruiting is concerned is the fact that the city of Miami is NOTHING like Gainesville or Tallahassee. Miami is very much a tropical, vibrant city with a lot of culture, and almost geographically isolated. I can see how those kids growing up down there would have no interest in trotting off to play for good ole Bobby Bowden way up in the redneck panhandle.

I also think it's telling of the culture, how the one guy mentioned in the film that "It was like being a blood or a crip...you were a cane." I wonder how often they went to class.

I saw it Saturday night and thought it was very good and very insightful and yes, reminded me somewhat of our program. I was wondering if anyone can tell me when Thad's film will be on and what the topic is?

Just got through watching it. I'd forgotten what a bunch of thugs those guys were.

Those guys were so cocky, it was hilarious, but hey they backed it up and kicked the crap out of everyone. They were the original bad boys, and it's a shame that I wasn't born (until 87) to watch the team of the 80s play.

I mean who else would say "I wasn't worried about the game, I knew we'd win. I was just worried about how I would maneuver my girls after the game." priceless.

Crazy that I have a job right now that completely revolves around SMU football, and yet I never have time for PFs anymore... A good problem to have, I guess. I'm freshly arrived in LA to work on the bowl preview show. Then to Hawaii in advance of the team. As to when my movie will come out it depends on - frankly - if a deal goes through with I can't name who, but then it would premier much later than if we premier at a film festival. Thank you guys for your kind words, and yes I think Article 19 has the potential to be better, not because any of us involved are better than those guys, but this is a film about something that never happened before or since... the Death Penalty. So you've got a sort of "darkest hour" type thing... And now after years... We have a happy ending to our movie and a happy beggining to a hopeful new era of great football. Amazing.

Thad, I have seen both...regardless of the DP factor, yours has a better flow to it.
