June Jones impact on Islands

Staying in Maui with the family at the Westin. Wearing my SMU hat I was stopped twice buy employees of the hotel, front desk and one of the restaurants, and they explained to me how much JJ had impacted the community. Did alot of nice thing for kids, non profits etc.. They also stated how lucky we were to have him as a coach, I agreed. They held no I'll will towards him for leaving UH. They were all going to be cheering for the Mustangs this week.
It is very obvious Coach Jones made quie an impact over here and not just on the football field.

It has been amazing. Everywhere we go people come up to us and want to talk June Jones and Smu football in a very positive manner. Seems every waiter we have had in area restaurants goes or went to Hawaii and want to talk smu football. Game should be well attended by Hawaii fans.
