Pack's Davis arrested for felony theft

HONOLULU -- A spokesman for the Honolulu Police Department said tonight that a man named Andre Davis, believed to be the Nevada linebacker, was arrested on a charge of theft in the second degree, a felony, Monday night and is being held on an $11,000 bail.

Davis, a transfer from Western Washington, is 20 years old, which is the age of the detained Davis. The spokesman said there was no other method to determine if they are in fact one and the same.

Davis, a sophomore, was dismissed from the team Tuesday for a violation of team and athletic department rules, Nevada coach Chris Ault said. Freshman Michael "Duke" Williams was suspended for Thursday's Hawaii Bowl for violating unspecified team and athletic department rules. The police spokesman said there is no record of a Michael Williams or Duke Williams having been arrested recently
