Largest margin of victory by an SMU team in a bowl game ever.

For some reason, more than any other game, I remember watching Baylor run up the score on us in '89 (Baylor of all people). I remember telling myself "they better get their licks in now because one day we'll be back with a vengence". It's taken 20 years. Longer and more painful than I ever expected. I cried the whole second half I was so proud of these guys. I'm just drained. In the 40 years Mustang football has been a part of my life, no season has ever been more meaningful. No one who has never been through this could ever understand. No matter what happens from here forward, June Jones is a god in my eyes.

This is amazing and it's all over Sportscenter. SMU IS BACK!!!!!!!!! Thanks to the seniors and the whole team. Thank you, June Jones.

Not to mention some of the wonderful SMU fans who remember Doak Walker, Kyle Rote and Don Meredith. I was of the Pony Express generation, and the past 25 years have been so painful that many of us have averted our eyes. Not in shame, but because it was literally hurtful to watch week after week , year after year of disappointment. June Jones is worth every penny the circle of champions ponied up for him. I think we need to show our appreciation to those people who brought JJ here by buying season tickets and giving what we can to the Mustang Club and to SMU in general.
