I was very surprised to see this article run in the Arkansas Democrat Gazette this morning. I guess the sports writers are all at the Liberty Bowl and they needed some filler for the Sports section. Regardless, it was pleasing to see a nice SMU article in Little Rock.

I had mentioned this article running in the Arkansa Dem-Gaz the other day. This morning, of course there was no article about the game since they shut down the presses at about 9:00pm on normal days and even earlier on Christmas Eve, but there was a 1/2 page article on the back page of the sports section which was the article run by the NY Times the other day written by the SMU alumnus. It is a good, truthful, and uplifting article and it surprises me that the Ark Dem-Gaz is giving us such love in the state. This should help show kids like Parker Mack, Sammy Harville, and Keihl Frazier that we are serious about our football at SMU and they need to keep us in mind.
