An employee at Fry's electronics stopped me today (I had on my SMU hat) and wanted to know what our final record was. He was happy when I told him about our season and the bowl win because he thought we were punished too hard in the 80's. Then he wrote down our record on his pad. Weird but strangely satisfying.

Stopped at Chick-fil-A on Hillcrest across from the campus this morning. Girl behind the counter noticed my SMU shirt and said, "Hey! Did SMU win their bowl game?" I said, "Yep! 45-10!" She said, "Great! Are they back at school yet?" I think we all now know why she's working at Chick-fil-A.
