what would happen in Leach/Tech chess game?

sure it won't happen...but if it did.....what would happen in the Tech vs Leach chess game if the Tech players decided "we're not playing if our coach is not allowed to coach us in the bowl game"?....what would Texas Tech do if the players really refused to suit up?....what would the bowl do?....TV network do?...hotels do?...boosters do?...It would be funny to watch what the reaction would be if the players took the matter into their own hands and said "this train is not pulling out of the station" unless we postpone this matter a week.
