Yet more evidence NCAA football is a scam...

According to espn.com, despite having a 121.7 passer rating, throwing 5 interceptions, and losing the game, Mike Kafka of Northwestern ousted Padron (188.4 rating) as the top performing QB based solely on his 532 passing yards. I understand the reasoning. Northwestern is a Big 10 school. The sun would explode if a non-BCS player was at the top.

Then, in comes Tim Tebow (not only BCS, but marquee program). He had a 232.5 passer rating, but only 482 yards. Yet, he surpasses Kafka as the top performer. Now I agree, based on overall performance, Tebow should be the top QB. What I don't understand is how they had Kafka overtake Padron.

I guess we can enter this as evidence #38,586 that NCAA football is rigged to allow the marquee teams to stay on top. Right after the USC muffed punt against BC, where they said the USC player (who was doing the blocking and facing the ball) was "blocked into the ball".

I wonder if the NCAA just blatantly tells the refs to lean towards the top teams when making calls or just punishes the refs more for making a bad call against a top team. Thus, refs rule their way to promote job security.
