Update on the Overton in Lubbock

I am at the new Hawthorne Suites by Wyndam which is not to far away and it was only $89 per night with a King bed. No way would I want to spend $149-179 for a night in Lubbock.....just sayin.

There is only 1 place closer, and that's the Days Inn on the corner right across from the Jones Stadium parking lot. It is bare bones motel with exterior doors, uncomfortable beds, pretty nasty bathrooms, an elevator that smells like pee, and free "breakfast" which is generally cereal, and really disgusting sausage biscuits heated in the microwave

DiamondM that was one hilarious post. The Days Inn with all those problems is $110 per night? For $40 extra, being in a brand new hotel, being able to easily walk to the game, not mess with parking, and not have to rent a car, the Overton seems alright to me. BTW The Overton did not require two nighs stay when I booked a couple of months ago. See ya there DiamondM. BEAT TECH!
