More Time to Party on Bourbon Street"With a quarter of a tank of gas, we can get everything we need right here in DFW." -SMU Head Coach Chad Morris
When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.
Re: More Time to Party on Bourbon StreetWould be more fun if it were am instead of pm.
All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
Re: More Time to Party on Bourbon StreetThe day after the SMU/Tulane game Thomas Morstead and Emmanuel Sanders teams play each other in the New Orleans Superdome.
"THE SMU BLVD - - NO PLACE ELSE" (retired)
Re: More Time to Party on Bourbon StreetAny chance they move our game to Tad Gormley Stadium? Would be nice to play them in City Park instead of sitting in the freezer (Superdome) for 3 and a half hours. Plus I hear that when Tulane plays at TGS, the tailgating is pretty good.
Tulane likes to play a game or two each year in TGS because it gives more of a college feel. Plus, the 26,500 seat stadium doesn't make its crowd look as small as the Superdome makes it look. ![]()
Re: More Time to Party on Bourbon StreetI have never heard of this stadium, where in N.O. is it located?
GO MUSTANGS!
Re: More Time to Party on Bourbon Street
High School stadium south of 610 close to Delgado CC to CalAllen: Tulane hasnt played in Gormley in a couple of years...wonder if Toledo did away w/ that tradition. Usually it was homecoming I think that they played there
Re: More Time to Party on Bourbon Street
Thanks, RGV Pony. I think Gormley would be better home field than the Superdome Cave. Would rather have 5,000 to 10,000 empty seats than 50,000. GO MUSTANGS!
Re: More Time to Party on Bourbon StreetThey sell alcohol in the Superdome
Re: More Time to Party on Bourbon Street
I stand corrected. GO MUSTANGS!
Re: More Time to Party on Bourbon Street
Think it was homecoming played there. I guess Toledo must have done away with it.
Re: More Time to Party on Bourbon Street
Can bring your own alcohol into Gormley. To get an idea of its location, look at a map of New Orleans for "City Park."
