Re: ESPN Reporting Colorado Already Has PAC InviteThere is some possibilty that Memphis' BB program might be attractive to the Big 12 Midwest Schools but I anticipate them going to Big East

Re: ESPN Reporting Colorado Already Has PAC Invite
Agreed. Memphis and UCF are likely soon to depart Conference USA. Far East Conference

Turner Gill?
Re: ESPN Reporting Colorado Already Has PAC InviteColorado has reportedly accepted invite to PAC 10.
http://blogs.mercurynews.com/collegespo ... he-pac-11/ At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

This assumes Big East expands, which is not guaranteed. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Re: ESPN Reporting Colorado Already Has PAC Invite
BE might not even be around much longer, if B10 goes to 14/16, and/or if SEC raids the ACC, causing the ACC to raid the BE.
Re: ESPN Reporting Colorado Already Has PAC InviteI think Louisville and Memphis, and maybe Cincy, would be highly sought after by Kansas, squeezing us out perhaps. KU will want to remain in a powerful bball league. i also think Louisville will need a home and if the Big 12 is still AQ, Lousiville will jump on it. they wont be invited to the SEC or ACC, so they might have to look midwest again.
There is a chance we could make the cut, but i am guessing right now that we are going to end up in a service academy alliance with Navy, Army and maybe Air Force. the good news is we have history with Navy and the academies draw well and have some tv power. the bad news is the magnolia conference concept is essentially tier 2 football.
Re: ESPN Reporting Colorado Already Has PAC InviteI disagree. I think Kansas, Kansas State, etc. want to have the visibility and exposure in Texas. This makes us just as viable a candidate to enter the Big 12 as Cincy and Louisville.
Back off Warchild seriously.
Re: ESPN Reporting Colorado Already Has PAC InviteI agree, the leftover big schools are going to want access to the dallas market for TV, Alumni, and recruiting....
I feel like we can sneak in somewhere...
Re: ESPN Reporting Colorado Already Has PAC Invite
they're gonna have Baylor, TCU and maybe Houston. My bet is they consider that enough and stop there with Texas schools. Tulsa might even be in the mix ahead of us. Reason being that kansas is gonna run the new Big12 and they are one school in all of this that cares very much about basketball. thats where Louiville and Memphis overtake us.
Re: ESPN Reporting Colorado Already Has PAC Invitethere are just too many texas schools folks. we've always cannibalized each other. our only trump card is politics and money. I'm hopeful but i havent seen us effectively use money or political power in this context yet...if we really have it.

Re: ESPN Reporting Colorado Already Has PAC InviteThen could we replace TCU in the MWC?
Back off Warchild seriously.
Re: ESPN Reporting Colorado Already Has PAC Invite
who's left? Wyoming and New Mexico? Ouch.
Re: ESPN Reporting Colorado Already Has PAC InviteThere are more and more chances for SMU to improve opening up....
It could have been way worse... I am optimistic...
