The politicians will ultimately call the shot. Stallings at TAMU is absolutely correct that the rivalries, fan travel, football interest is far greater with the SEC than the PAC 10. Playing Alabama, Arkansas Auburn, LSU, Tennessee...etc. makes far more sense than Washington, WSU, Oregon, OSU, Cal, Stanford. What TU fan wants to travel to Pullman, Corvallis....etc. However, the politicians are going to insist that TAMU follow Texas to insure that rivalry continues. Politics will over rule reality.
