Rutledge and Shanderrick Charles. Although
the defense as a unit deserves some props,
I decided to name individuals as Mid season
MVP's. Shanderrick is the savior and
Rutdledge, well Rutledge is just the man.
Mid Season Dissapointments
tie)- The 0-4
start and Kris Briggs. It is a shame that
Briggs has gone from 1st string to the
bottom of the depth chart. He dominated in
High School and was a big prospect coming
out of Carthage. However, he did not produce
and he is paying the price for it now. The
0-4 start is dissapointing in itself. I
would have been a lot less dissapointed with
a 2-2 or maybe even a 1-3.
Mid Season Unsung Hero: In my opinion, it is
Shane O' Neill. He made some great tackles
against UTEP and made a bunch of tackles in
the secondary that stopped big runs. He is
strong as an OX and has a great feel for the
game.
Those are my awards for mid season. I would be interested to see who others felt should fit into those categories.
