The hand-to-hand combat that takes place along the line of scrimmage often is assumed to determine the success an offense or defense will have. Offensive linemen, in particular, are expected to dish out their share of punishment, whether it's fighting off a pass rusher who has his sights set on the quarterback, or trampling a linebacker so the running backs have room to roam. SMU's Bryce Tennison has done his share of both, but to see his offseason routine this year, which included two trips to the operating table, it would appear that he absorbed as many beatings as he dished out.
Tennison visited with PonyFans.com to detail his injuries, his recovery from each and his impending move from guard to center in 2010.
