No sophomore slump for Reed?I've been writing about Taylor Reed this morning and it seems like he's ready to be the guy on defensive and take over for Kennemer production wise. I'm not sure about leadership wise though. Either way I believe he'll have a great sophomore year. What do you guys think?
Re: No sophomore slump for Reed?Who knows who will take the leadership role. He certainly showed flashes of great talent.
Either way, we need all the D help we can get! "I think Couchem is right."

Re: No sophomore slump for Reed?Reed and Davis should be in a real dogfight to see who makes the bigger impact in the absence of Kennemer. It should be exciting for us Ponyfans to watch this season.

Re: No sophomore slump for Reed? From a production standpoint, I think it's either going to be Youri Yenga or JaGared Davis
Everyone seems to gush over Yenga, and while he's been a solid player the last three years, I wouldn't go so far as to call him our best defensive player like several of the coaches and media outlets have over the last few years. Perhaps it's because we've needed him to play out of his natural position... I don't know. But I'm really looking forward to seeing his star potential realized in his senior year. Speaking of star potential... I've seen a handful or players over the years, who at the college level have single-handedly taken over games: Russell Maryland, Rashaun Woods... Anyway, JaGared Davis had flashes of that – at times – last year. I'm really excited to see what changes of year of experience and a year in the weight room have wrought. Re: No sophomore slump for Reed?
Agreed. I'm a big JGD fan. He's going to be an exciting play er watch next year. I'm hoping for big things from Taylor as well. I'm interested in seeing what role Braden Smith ends up having in this situation as well. He has a good feel of what he needs to do on the field, so I'm interested in seeing how much he's able to contribute this year. Seems like a great kid with a GREAT attitude. It's hard not to root for him. Derail the Frogs!

Remember that, do you? Painful. ![]() "It's a couple hundred million dollars. I'm not losing sleep over it." -- David Miller
Re: No sophomore slump for Reed?I'm hoping that Jagerad Davis turns into that 5 minute highlite reel that we saw from him at the start of the Tulsa game. I thinks he's the guy to look at long term.
