Can schools demanding high academic standards...?I'll admit that I am a new SMU fan thanks to my kids acceptance to the school, and I am a new season ticket holder, so I don't know as much about the program then all of you do. But I did graduate from a school that held academics to a high standard also and lost some recruits because of it.
This is an interesting question. I feel like programs can't win if they don't bend the requirments a little, but I don't like that thats the way it is.
Re: Can schools demanding high academic standards...?
See SMU's past twenty-five years for proof that you are wrong. Far East Conference
Re: Can schools demanding high academic standards...?I wish that SMU's professors and faculty could get over the fact, and realize that this is not an Ivy League school. I am not a recent grad, but it couldn't have changed that much since I left. The courses and majors are not that difficult. I actually got out of there with two degrees without much grief. My recruiting class had a 100% graduation rate. We won 7 games. Do the math.
