Look, the kids should have been admitted last week. I understand why their "decision" was late-- the committee was waiting on the second semester grades. The problem is the coaches (who are representatives of the university) felt they qualified, the students thought they qualified, the coaches re affirmed that they thought they had qualified, somehow the system changed and people weren't properly informed that they didn 't qualify, although it very much sounds like a subjective decision of a committee madeup of members that haven't ventured out into the real world in decades. Two kids suffered.
I cannot allow the university to now sit on principle and let these two flounder. What happened to ethics, leadership, and justice at the university? If it no longer exists, the university has no reason to exist. Just admit the error, whoever made it, coaches, administration, acceptance committee, rule makers, make an exception, clarrify the rules and make it work.

Don't think he really cares. He is probably out playing golf or something far more useful than dealing with such petty things.

Either Turner complies or he should be gone.

Just a hunch, but Turner probably doesn't spend as much time on PonyFans as the rest of us.

Nope, you are wrong. He lives this job 24/7. He has however committed a serious f'up and needs to rectify with apologies and actions that ensure this doesn't ever happen again...........

You "cannot allow the University to now sit on principle..."? YOU cannot ALLOW...? Please submit immediately your credentials which support your ability to "allow" or "not allow" anything with regard to SMU!
