TCU just flat out markets better. The "Meet the Frogs" autograph session, scrimmage, kids clinic event could so easily be replicated on the Hilltop.

http://gofrogs.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl ... 10aaa.html At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Re: BlasphemyGreat pics.
and to add insult to injury, their cheerleaders and pom squad girls are hot. Maybe that all comes with winning.
Re: BlasphemyBecause there would be nobody there if we did it. We need to work up to their level. It will come.

Re: Blasphemy
This, we need some success on the field before we start talking about autograph sessions.
Re: Blasphemy
Normally, I agree. However, they have been doing this for years. They haven't always been top 25. At some point, we need to start reaching out to the larger community instead of keeping SMU football a secret. Re: BlasphemyThere was a good sized line for Justin Willis at the Park Cities 4th of July Parade a few years ago so you never know...maybe midseason there can be a post game autograph session after we improve to 7-0. Or Mestango, Stallion and RGV could set up a booth on the 'Vard.

Re: Blasphemy
two of the three already did
Re: BlasphemyWhat's the charge for an autograph? Or do you just sign your beers and hand them out?

Re: Blasphemy
hey, you said booth. We got that. Beyond that, yall are on your own
Re: Blasphemy
June don't do fan stuff. No spring game, no scrimmages. He's an NFL guy in that regard. He also doesn't do a weekly media luncheon, like every other Division I head coach does. TCU's Patterson has one every Tuesday. They have a couple of players for interviews and Pappa's caters burgers and chicken.
Re: Blasphemy
which media would you suggest JJ/SMU invite? Rich? Seriously..none of the DMN types or WFAA/Fox4/whatever types would be there. If they want to tag along to the Mustang Club event, let them pay $20.
Re: BlasphemyGood point. There's not a lot of media that pays frequent attention to SMU.
But you would have Kate (or whoever covers SMU for the DMN) there, plus Park Cities newspaper, Daily Campus, Rick Atkinson, the Rivals and Scout guys, Ponyfans and the occasional TV news camera. You have to time it right so that it doesn't conflict with the Cowboys' press conferences, if that's at all possible. TV will go where the Cowboys go. And smumustangs.com could post weekly video from it. Just sayin'.
