Did I miss the coaching grade from the head coach on down? For example, is it the kids fault or the coaches fault when he is placed in a position and coaching technique where he is going to fail most of the time? Do you put a shorter corner in a loose man to man near the goal line with a much taller receiver who is a former 5A state high jump champion (over 7 ft!). Coach or player? If all the wide receivers don't run [deleted] every route is it the position coaches fault for not recognizing this and not making changes? Did this affect the qb and his reads? Did the wr's not go hard because they played every single play in 100+ heat instead of subbing? If you are averaging 6 yards a carry from Line and Butler then why don't you run more, especially with struggles in the passing game? I know....monday morning qbing but thats one of the great things about fb.

Well Coaching is limited by availiable talent but I too have always wondered why June doesn't like to substitute WRs. You'd think it would add depth and confidence. For example, I'd love to see Jeremy Johnson play but just as soon see him redshirt if he rarely plays. He's always situationally substituted RBs. Most running teams substitute to keep RBs fresh and WR run more than RBs. It worked for the Pony Express.

I think WRs in this offense have to have more practice time...they aren't running set routes and need to be able to read coverages and adapt....

Plus, Padron needs to feel confident that they can do this as well...Frosh WRs just don't have enough time
