Patterson has done a great job with the frogs yes, did he do a great job last year yes, did ferentz take the hawks to a bowl game and beat a heavily favored georgia tech team handily and was picked to finish 6th or 7th in the big ten (11)..yes...All I am saying is if throughout the season if everyone expects you to win and you do then you don't deserve the award, it should be for those who coached their teams to victory

Iowa was ranked in the 15-20 range to start the season.....just like TCU.......so, NO LOGIC!

TCU is incredibaly fast at just about every position, much faster than Tech. I believe thier Defensive speed will give us problems and be the difference. The OL will have to give Padron time to find his recievers, if not it will be a long night. Again, our lack of depth will hurt us.
Hope Sterling Moore is able to go 100%. I like the way our D is shaping up, especially the front 7, hopefully they can keep Dalton contained, if not.....
Gary Patterson is a very good game day coach, I think JJ is a better though when it comes to the technical side of the game. JJ and his staff make adjustments like nobody else. Patterson has a great knack for finding under rated players and getting the most out of them, JJ not too shabby at that department either. It will be fun to see what adjustments JJ makes to counter Patterson and the Frogs. As of right now, I don't think anyone will disagree, TCU has the better overall talent and experience. A TCU win will not surprise anyone it is expected, but I will not be surprise if SMU pulls off the upset.

I have only seen the Oregon State game.

Padron will have to click with our receivers to make it a reasonably close game of 14 pts. Hopefully he'll release the ball quickly and find some openings. No turnovers and some nice SMU ball bounces.

If Sterling Moore doesn't start and be able to play ok - it will be a long night for our corners.
Hopefully Dalton will stroll in here thinking it's a cakewalk and get sacked a few times.

Who led the nation in blocked kicks last year - SMU
Who blocked two field goals in the first game - SMU
Who made a 61 yard field goal - SMU

Other notes - Had a 92 yard kick return. Have not given up a field goal all year. Besides the two blocks, we had a big rush up the middle on another attempt. The kicker tried to kick around it and missed wide left.
