Re: Sterling Moore's Knee per DMNThat sucks, we need Moore 100% this year. Could be a real long night if we don't get pressure
Re: Sterling Moore's Knee per DMNnoticed that I am over 5000, how did I miss that?
do I get a prize?
Re: Sterling Moore's Knee per DMNI also hope we don't have our small DB on a giant WR.. pleading with Mason and secondary coach to at least have our DB's match-up according to size too.
Have a feeling they're going to go after Sterling a bit if he's injured.. especially if he's on "Curley" What we obtain too cheap.. we esteem too lightly. It is persistence alone that gives everything its value.

yep. congrats. ![]() ![]()
Re: Sterling Moore's Knee per DMNSterling is an important part of the defense, no doubt. . .but the bottom line is that our secondary is the soft spot in the D with or without Sterling. Remember, against Tech Sterling was healthy. I think Potts threw for 360 yards and 4 TDs and Leong had over 125 yards receiving and 3 TDs. Although Sterling played almost the entire UAB game, I don't think that one is a good baromator of our secondary because UAB is an absolute run-first team. Last week against WSU, I didn't think the secondary looked worse than against Tech. In fact, I thought some of the guys (Crawford) looked quite a bit better. The secondary is a weakness, plain and simple. And its a weakness that you can bet TCU is going to try to exploit.
Irrespective of whether Sterling is 100%, 85%, or doesn't play at all, the ENTIRE secondary is going to have to step up in order to limit TCU's pass game. Frankly, if he's not 100%, I'd rather keep Sterling out so he can get healthy for our conference schedule. BTW, I had to laugh when Parks got burned at the end of the WSU game. Welcome to the college game buddy! I'm not worried about him. He'll be a good one for us. Just maybe not in his second collegiate game.
Re: Sterling Moore's Knee per DMNSterling is a difference maker though. Sterling's guy didnt do much at all vs. Tech.
Also, as JJ pointed out, NOT having Sterling vs Marshall was a difference maker...for Marshall.
Re: Sterling Moore's Knee per DMN
Thomas and Parks aren't ready to really contribute in any game. Parks could get better but Thomas is just a body. They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security

Re: Sterling Moore's Knee per DMNlosing sterling is a severe blow. june has said he will play in the nfl. no one picks on him anymore. too bad. we are thin in the secondary to put it mildly.
Re: Sterling Moore's Knee per DMNWhile everyone worries about Sterling for this game, just answer this question. Which year did you enjoy more.....the year we beat TCU and went 1-11 or last year? We need Sterling period, but much more for the rest of the year than tomorrow. I hope he can go, but trust the coaches will make the right call.

Re: Sterling Moore's Knee per DMNI hope Sterling can play. If hes not ready I hope he sits. A conferance championship is very reasonable with the blow Houston took. I think WSU numbers were much higher in the passing game because Sterling did not play. Bennie got beat over and over, and if he was with them they would just jump over him. Also when Sterling comes on a corner blitz good things have happend. Heres to his health in the long run.
Re: Sterling Moore's Knee per DMNPark got beat for 80 when JJ enmptied his bench. Take those 80 away during garbage time and the #s are not that bad.
