Guy seems to be going down with injuries at least once a game. Think I saw him down twice last night. Anyone know if it's just a lingering injury that he keeps re-injuring, or what's going on?

I'm pretty sure he is averaging 2 clock stopages for injury per game. I think he gets gassed / worn down from plaing inside. He usually takes a breather and gets right back in. I don't remember noticing him limping or anything.

Exactly what think. I believe he is just wasted and needs a break. I do not think he is faking, I just think he gives it his all until his body says to quit. It is working whatever he is doing. Houston will be throwing fits since they accuse everyone of faking injuries to slow them down.

One of those injuries last night looked like Kinne's knee coming down on his twig and berries.

Frazier is having a problem with his right knee ...and yes he limps some, but he is a very tough kid who is enduring it for the team...its a sprain that he reinjures every game because his position is very 'engaging'...

Ponyscott is correct. The difference the o-line plays to a NG's LEGS than DE's... it can be brutal.
Lots and hi-lo and side approaches.
He does have a knee issue and is doing a great job. We really need O'Guin to understand that he need to get pi$$ed when he walks on the field and not be a kind young man.
That is the help we need from a 320 NG.

That's what I thought too. But after June's post-game press conference, PonyPride said the knee came down on his sternum. So he may have had the wind knocked out of him.

As intense as those guys are playing (and the defense has just been knocking it out of the park this year IMHO -- hell, they limited the #8 offense in the country to 18 points... that's a TD less than what they scored on OSU and 3 TDs under their average!! :o ), I think it's smart to get off the field for a play or two until the cobwebs clear.

Glad we have guys like Spike Davis and Kevin Grenier who can come in and give our starters a breather and the D doesn't seem to miss a beat.

Sometimes these are legitimate injuries. Unfortunately, some teams are taking advantage defensively of the rules of the game to make a sham of the game. When offenses begin their hurry-up, no huddle offenses then defensive players will look for a signal from the coaches for a defensive player to go down to slow down the offensive tempo and to collect their thoughts defensively. The replays will show a player walking back to line up defensively and look to the sideline and then all-of-a-sudden fall to the ground as if a sniper just took em out.

Thanks, makes sense. Knee injuries are tough, especially for a DT, because the OL goes low on them.
