RECORDS

Margus Hunt (DE)
- Blocked a 45-yard FG attempt in the first quarter for his ninth career blocked kick. That sets the SMU record and ties for sixth in NCAA history.
- That is his sixth career blocked FG, which ties for third in NCAA history (record is eight)

Kyle Padron (QB)
- Had 3 TD passes; his 16 in 2010 and rank seventh in a season at SMU
- Had 381 passing yards for his fourth career 300-yard game; that ties for fourth in a career at SMU
- His 381 passing yards; that ties for 10th in a game at SMU
- Had 395 yards of total offense (381 passing, 14 rushing); that ties for 11th in a game at SMU (also had 395 at Rice last week)

- Had 118 yards receiving (5 catches) for the 10th 100-yard game of his career; that moves him into second at SMU (Emmanuel Sanders 16)

Had two 100-yard receivers for the second straight game (Aldrick Robinson 118, Darius Johnson 102).

SMU improves to 4-2 on the season, which is the best since a 5-1 start in 1986.

SMU is 3-0 in Conference USA, which is the best league start since beginning 3-0 in 1986

SMU blocked two field goals and now has five blocks on the season

Cole Beasley (WR) - Had a receiving TD, his third of the season and ninth of his career

Ja’Gared Davis (LB) - Had a sack and now has 7.0 for the season and 9.0 for his career. He has had at least one sack in each of the six games this season.

Pete Fleps (LB) - Led the team with 10 tackles (4 solo), his sixth career 10-plus tackle game

Kevin Grenier (DE) - Blocked a 48-yard FG attempt in the fourth quarter for his second block this season (at Texas Tech)

Bradley Haynes (WR)
- Had a receiving TD, his second of the season
- Tied his season high with four receptions

I'm starting this Margus Hunt guy has a future in this game, you know?

I would have to think that we have the most blocked kicks in the NCAA as a team this year. 5 blocks in 6 games is very impressive.

Ja'Gared Davis had a sack in the last game of last year, so it's 7 straight games he's played in that he's had a sack. The radio guys said they didn't have a stat of a record along those lines, so they said it "must be a record" at SMU.

Did a quick Google search, and couldn't find anything about consecutive games with a sack, either. Plenty of career and single season sack records listed.
