Sounds like a good idea, just go all out for the block and if the punt gets off then hope for a favorable bounce.
They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security

McKnight is not the only one making decisions on who plays on S/teams. He has tried to change a few things up but hasn't gotten the OK. He is a solid guy and coach

As I think about it Cole is not the best when he has to think about it like on set screen plays ( which he seems to miss more often) ....he is a better instinct catcher like DJ.....maybe we use our Oregon playmaker again?

I understand the powers that be didnt want to risk either an injury or wearing out Beasely at PR, despite the fact that, as most assume, he was one of the best if not the best at the position during camp

I would argue that DJ is as sure handed as Cole Beasley and more consistent. I think that DJ is over thinking the punt and wanting to make a big play. I watched DJ on punt returns in high school and he was down right nasty. So, he definitely has the potential to be a huge punt return weapon for the Mustangs. He just needs to get his head and hands on the same page. However, if muffed punts are the result of DJ over thinking, then Coach needs to sit him down for a while.

This should not be that difficult. During the weekly Monday luncheon Coach Jones stated the team's rule is you never back up past the 10 yard line, period.

His mechanics are wrong. He's trying to catch the punt with his hands, like they teach receivers to catch passes. He should catch the ball against his body. That way, he's less likely to fumble it.
