STAR TELEGRAM publishes SMU Box Score

Postby Bergermeister » Mon Oct 11, 2010 8:30 am

This used to be a standard, along with the game report, in the Dallas Morning News. We are served-up all the horse$#!+ boxes from BFE (Maryland Commonwealth vs Austin Peay-Peay) but can't get the hometown team in? The Star "took care" of us. DMN has a really fascinating story on OSU football in Monday's paper. Has SMU surpassed it's quota of football coverage for the week?

DMN had the box scores for our game in the Sunday sports section. It is also available on smumustangs.com if you can't find it in the paper.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

The SMU-Tulsa box score was also inexplicably tucked into a back page corner of the sports section in the Monday paper, too.
Don't worry. Be Happy. Or not.

I got up sunday morning and went out in the front yard and got my DMNs. Good SMU coverage and the box scores while having my coffee. If you are too cheap to have a subscription and support the local print media, then do not complain.

I agree..WTF are these guys complaining about? They obviously don't have the Kwan to have DMN home delivery..its all in color, FRONT Sports page and extra articles etc...I mean .....REALLY?

For those that complain too much about the DMN coverage we did get a blurb in the Austin American Statesman, but no mention whatsoever in the Houston Chronicle. Hell, TCU only had a boxscore and Rice, well same as TCU
