I had forgotten how close Rice was to the medical center and what a great location it is in

My only complaint about Houston is traffic and how freaking spread out it is.

I just moved to Spring form McKinney, and I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised by the traffic. Getting into downtown Houston is much easier than taking 75 down in Dallas.

I know the knock on UH is that we're a bunch of punks. Old stereotypes die hard. But the knock on SMU is that you're all spoiled rotten rich kids. And nothing confirms that stereotype like playing the "We're too scared to go to a game in the hood" card. I mean, my 5'2" girlfriend's been walking all around campus for four years without a worry, but if y'all can't handle it, I understand.

I truly empathize with the loss. We just wanted it more than y'all tonight. Having been on the other side of that a few times already this year (not to mention UTEP and UCF last year), it's a crappy feeling. Here's to a competitive race the rest of the way.

Oh, and you may have bulldozed the legendary Mockingbird 7-Eleven, but I still got my fix. Jalapeño cheddar taquitos and a cherry Coke slurpee. Mmmm mmmmmmm.
