This isn't over yet. We don't match up well with Houston's athleticism, especially with our injuries in the secondary. Something just wasn't right tonight - special teams were bad, tackling bad, mistakes on offense... but sometiimes that happens when the team is uptight because they see a lot of athleticism on film.

Houston is a good team and had a great plan. They drilled us on our blitzes by running the screens. And when we rushed three, we couldn't match up with them in the secondary.

This was just one of those games where not having a true nose tackle and no depth at corner killed us.

Also, I would say the lack of depth is most apparent on special teams. Early in the season, a lot of starters played special teams to cover for that. But now, later in the season, we need to save those guys and are playing a lot of new people on special teams. It is killing us right now, but hopefully it gets right for the last few games.

I'll be happy with a bowl again - hopefully not Hawaii - I am concerned about Tulane, UTEP, and ECU. I guess Tulane and Marshall wins are the best bets. @UTEP is always tough.

I would be pleased with a 7-5 regular season and any bowl game; I would consider that another successful season at this stage of the rebuild
