I feel like I just watched Wade Phillips press conference.

Probably one of the toughest and most hated things that comes with being the head coach. Your team plays bad and you have to sit there and answer questions about "why" from people who know so little about the game and us fans. He handled it well by accepting blame on behalf of the coaches and players. Totally opposite of when you win and go to a bowl and everyone is kissing your you-know-what! I don't know him but I can't help but like June and what he says, not necessarily how he says it but what he says.

What I like about Mr. Jones is HE takes responsibility for his team un-like other head coaches I have been around. i.e. George O’Leary UCF.

I have a good deal of respect for Coach Jones.
Let us begin the rest of the journey, and as coach says, that’s what it’s about. The journey. Let us be happier in our journeys is all I ask of him. 8)

I expect this coaching staff to be more determined than ever after a loss like that

JJ has been nothing but honest from day one...how many times has he had to remind everyone that we are a couple of years away from having the quality and depth of athletes on our roster to win championships?

We all got exited thinking that just 2 years removed from 1-11, we were in position to unseat Houston as Western Division champs. I feel pretty good about the fact we are already right there with Tulsa and UTEP.

I'm sure these coaches are telling these stud recruits that they will have an opportunity to be a part of making SMU the next Boise/TCU. Hope everyone continues to believe

JJ is a coach that handles things with class and dignity. However, in the PC you could sense that even he was disappointed and probably a little discouraged. I wonder if he is having second thoughts about KP.

I've said all along that with improved recruiting, Padron will have to improve to hold onto his starting job. For now, he's the best we can put on the field. We need to bounce back against Tulane and make a strong showing...Padron and everyone else

He gave Bo Levi a full season, Padron should get the same. Though if the inconsistency keeps up there will be an open competition for the job.

A good summation of what everyone witnessed. Reinebold's twits never talked about how great practice was this past week. He has mentioned good practices in the past. That was our first clue.

JJ is correct that every aspect of the game was a subpar performance (coaches, kids and weather/fans).
