Wide Receivers

Postby Stallion » Sun Nov 07, 2010 4:39 am

other than Aldrick Robinson, SMU's receivers (Johnson, Beasley, Haynes and Holman) caught 18 passes for 120 yards-7 yards per catch. Pathetic. Every one of them. We need to see some competition at these positions because their performance was unacceptable tonite. But hey we got 8 catches for 40 yards (5 yards per catch) on the entire freaking season from the non-starters. Also pathetic and unacceptable.

we do need more playmakers, but we also need to QB and WRs on the same page for this offense to be successful. Have to remember these guys have just a little better than one full season working together.

I think we may have unrealistic expectations at times. Give UTEP credit; it was their "senior night", they needed this game to become bowl eligible and simply outplayed us. They also have a QB who was playing in something like his 100th college game, or at least it seems that way to me.

We are very fortunate to have won 2 road games this year.

Beat Marshall!!!
