Bryce is an utter [deleted]. He's good for a really untimely personnel foul or drive killing hold/ offside once a game. That's a discipline issue that's getting really old.

The refs have to bear some blame too, like the personal foul they called on us when UTEP cheapshotted our long snapper after the shanked punt. Even the UTEP announcer guys couldn't believe that.

Plus, on TV they showed a ref try to throw a flag on us during a timeout because a ref came and got into our team's huddle and one of our players put his hand on his shoulder (no pushing or anything). Fortunately the head ref overruled that one.

I would love, love to see someone try and defend the performance of the officials last night. Can never blame a loss on officials...99% of the time, but that was an embarrassment to SMU/UTEP, CUSA, the NCAA, and America.

The refs were horrible. Even the homer-UTEP announcers on Time Warner said as much.
But they were not the reason we lost that game.

No, we can't blame that one by any stretch on the refs. The refs didn't make us commit multiple drive-defining (both ways) penalties, they didn't make our D-Line get absolutely no pressure all night, they didn't make us stagnant, off-kilter, and choppy on offense. No, we absolutely stunk that one up on our own. The officiating crew and the blaring siren just makes it hurt that much more and realize what a small pond we're in right now.
