SMU will practice Monday through Thursday during its bye week and most of the banged-up players could return by Marshall – that includes senior cornerback Sterling Moore, who has missed the last four games to a knee injury. His return could give SMU's beleaguered secondary a huge lift.

Maybe this is what Kyle Padron should do to get yards for SMU......This is amazing. A middle school quarterback at Driscoll middle school in CC Texas pulls off the trick play of the year. He pretends to walk off his own five yard penalty after being handed the ball and then runs into the end zone.

Funny how attorneys have a tendency to focus in on one event that will build a case in their favor....hmmmm. Now, they will build a series of events off that one the event. But it usually goes back to that one event.

Reading comprehension is just fine. You were the one to use the overly dramatic, pessimistic statement that 1 play "flipped the season" in your Title:

"Did the season flip on one play?"

How do you know that 1 play didn't flip the season? How do I know it did?

As I recall, the title of that threat was written in question form. I then offered my take because the sequence that has followed since that event has not been very good regarding SMU football.

I have no problem with you arguing against the point. The topic sparked a debate, which you were a willing participant. You could have ignored the thread and not offered an opinion. But you did. That's why we're still talking about it.

Now, I think you make yourself look a little silly that when you claim people are idiots because it's impossible to think one play turned the season in a different direction. I guess if you want to go down that road rather than just simply disagreeing, that's your call.

Like the Bill Buckner misplay of the ground ball in Game 6 of the 1986 World Series. You know that game only tied the series at 3-3. So the Red Sox still could have won in 7. Why didn't they? Did the Mets have the momentum? I believe they rallied from a 3-0 deficit in Game 7 to win.

Did the Dwight Clark catch against the Cowboys change the fortunes of the Cowboys in the 1980s and the 49ers in the 1980s? How many World Titles did Dallas win in that decade? How many did San Francisco win in that decade? Coincidence?

Did Michael Jordan's buzzer-beater in the playoffs against Cleveland help accelerate the Chicago Bulls into their great championship runs? "Pundits" have argued that it did.

I would suggest that just because you say it doesn't make it true. That's the same with me. It's opinions. And that's all they are.
