That's exactly the point.

It's satire, if you read it closely you will see a lot of things that are meant to be funny, like Gary Patterson not needing doctors at CU.

Obviously, CU's success or lack thereof on the field has acted to diminish the local media's enthusiasm for writing about them, just as SMU's has worked against them. But, given the fact that CU is the state U, I find the lack of coverage a little surprising. Boulder is close to Denver and I suspect that most Boulderites read The Post and there is only one BCS school in the whole state but the coverage is relatively scanty. The Broncos dominate the sports pages in Denver as far as football is concerned and now since they are in decline, who knows what will happen?
