Re: Oregon: Myth or National ContenderI was at the game lastnight at Cal(was also in Eugene for last week's game against UW) and can say that Oregon is the real deal. Cal did a stellar job on defense(they are the 12th ranked D) and did a nice job of preventing LaMichael James from breaking off any big runs.
The offense had their first and only "off day" of the season, but the way the defense stepped up shows why they are #1 right now. Cal could not move the ball anywhere. The special teams looked good as well with the big return from Cliff Harris, who is a stud by the way. I like Oregon's chances against anyone in the country and still think they're the favorites to win the National Championship. Too much speed and playmaking ability on O coupled with a very solid D will make them tough to beat "I love coaching here at SMU University" -June Jones
Re: Oregon: Myth or National ContenderI think the Ducks are the real deal. They have too many weapons to stop on offense. And their D is pretty good as well. Sure they're in the PAC 10, but Stanford is no slouch.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna
