The show — brought to you by every Mustang's favorite watering hole Lakewood's 1st & 10, Gameday Cloth and PonyFans.com — the oldest, largest and fastest-growing website dedicated to the SMU Mustangs and PonyFans everywhere — will resume at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 17 at Lakewood's 1st & 10 (on the northeast corner of Mockingbird and Abrams in Dallas).
It's a huge week for SMU football: Marshall is coming to town for the final home game of the (regular?) season, and with one more victory, the Ponies are bowl-eligible for the second consecutive season. Who better to discuss the team's approach for Saturday's showdown with the Thundering Herd than the man who drives the offense? With that in mind, PonyFans LIVE welcomes SMU quarterback KYLE PADRON, the MVP of last year's Hawaii Bowl who is 14th in the country in total offense (300.5 yards per game), 11th in the country in passing yards (2,745) and tied for 10th in the country in passing touchdowns (23). In addition, he is second in Conference USA in passing yards per game and passing touchdowns, and in just over one full season as the Mustangs' starter, Padron has 33 career touchdown passes, tying him with Lance McIlhenny for sixth place in SMU history.
PonyFans LIVE also welcomes junior tackle J.T. Brooks, the right tackle on Sporting News magazine's "All-Bowl Season Team" last year and one of the keys to keeping Padron in one piece and opening running lanes for Zach Line and the other SMU running backs.
Padron and Brooks will be on PonyFans LIVE to talk about the upcoming game with Marshall (and maybe the regular-season finale against East Carolina) and what they and the rest of the offense need to do to get the Ponies back to bowl eligibility.
